Q: Where is the park and amphitheater located?

A: The Draper Park and Amphitheater is nestled in the foothills of Draper. The address is 14100 S. Vestry Road (950 E.) See the map link on the home page.

Q: How many people with the amphitheater accommodate?

A: The amphitheater has hillside seating that will accommodate 1,100 people. Additional chair seating will accommodate several hundred more.

Q: What kinds of events will be scheduled at the amphitheater?

A: Plans call for the amphitheater to host concerts, theatrical productions and community events. The amphitheater can also be reserved for private parties, church or family occasions.

Q: How much money is needed to complete the park and amphitheater?

A: At least $500,000 will be needed to complete the landscaping, stage and pavilion, children's play area, nature trail and gazebo. Additional funds will be needed to purchase and install sound reinforcement and lighting.

Q: How will the money be raised?

A: The money will be raised through private and corporate donations combined with matching funds promised by Draper City. Also, a number of fund raising activities including concerts, car washes golf tournaments and dinners are planned. Engraved brick pavers that will be placed permanently around the amphitheater are also available for purchase by individuals, families and businesses. A: An outdoor venue will provide a place for concerts, plays, recitals and community and church productions. The park will provide a beautiful setting for family gatherings and contribute to the preservation of our open spaces.
